Indian Bliss, a new textile start-up based in Hyderabad, India. We have carefully crafted an identity that embodies the nation's rich heritage, exceptional quality, and authentic craftsmanship.
The project have been undertaken during my tenure at Cinegraphic Renders.
Where did it start?
This branding project began, as all design projects do, with understanding the client and their business. We learned that the founders had a very clear vision for
what they wanted to achieve. Their
goal was to share the traditions of India
more widely, both in the country and internationally. They were focused on offering good quality products at the right price. Importantly, they wanted to support artisans throughout India and give back to the community.
What and why did we do?
Indian Bliss is driven by a commitment
to supporting artisans. From carefully selecting quality materials from
various parts of India to providing excellent service, their passion was
clear. Throughout our research, their strong desire to support artisans in
every way possible stood out.
Recognizing their role in preserving traditions like sarees, it was clear they needed a strong brand identity. So, we
were excited to take on the task of designing that identity. With such
a clear mission and vision, our
team felt confident in creating a
brand identity that truly fit.
For Indian Bliss, our design strategy was guided by the principle of simplicity. The centre piece of the visual identity is a symbol inspired by the traditional use
of betel leaves, with the leaf itself acting
as the main visual element. Betel leaves signify genuineness and the natural simplicity of people. Throughout India,
it is a common practice to offer a betel
leaf after meals, and it also plays a role
in important ceremonies and celebrations. Additionally, as a part of Indian customs, betel leaves and areca nuts are often included when giving gifts to visitors.
This element holds deep cultural meaning across the country, and the chosen symbol also stands out as unique and easily identifiable in public settings.
